Fish farming is the production of more fish than natural production in a specific water body in a planned way with low capital, short time and suitable technology. In order to be profitable in fish farming, the fish farmer has to follow certain rules in every phase from fish farming planning to marketing. Ignorance or negligence of the fish farmer or mistake is an obstacle to profitable fish farming. Fish is an important element in our daily diet. Due to the high demand for fish, it is possible to earn good income from fish farming. In addition to the local bazaar, it is possible to make a profit by selling fish in distant markets. Moreover, it is possible to earn a lot of foreign exchange by exporting fish abroad. Bangladesh is now fourth in fish farming. It is our pride.
